Talisca returns to the Chinese Super League with improved form
After a season-long absence due to injury, Brazilian winger Talisca returned to the Chinese Super League on Friday with improved form.
The 29-year-old striker made his return for Shanghai Shenhua in their match against Guangzhou Evergrande, where he scored twice and assisted one goal in a 5-1 victory.
"I'm really happy to be back at home," Talisca said after the match. "I missed my fans and I missed playing football here."
Talisca's return has been welcomed by both fans and teammates alike, who have praised his skills and work ethic.
"His performance was outstanding today," Shenhua coach Jürgen Klopp said. "He is a great player and we're very lucky to have him back."
Despite the success of Talisca's return, there were concerns about the club's overall performance in the league. Despite scoring five goals in just over two hours of play, Shenhua lost to Guangzhou Evergrande in their next match.
"It was a tough game, but we'll take it as a learning experience," Shenhua captain Zhang Jindong said. "We know that we need to improve our performances if we want to succeed in the league."
Overall, Talisca's return to the CSL has brought positive results for both the player and the team. With his skill and experience, he will be a valuable asset to Shenhua as they look to compete for honours in the league this season.
