Brazilian forward Neymar has been ruled out for up to three more matches after sustaining a knee injury during the club's Champions League match against Barcelona on Wednesday night.

The news comes as PSG continue to struggle in the title race, with the team currently sitting second behind Ligue 1 leaders Monaco.

The 27-year-old was forced off in the first half of the game and was taken to hospital where he underwent scans.

While there is no official word on the extent of his injury, it is believed that the Brazilian will be sidelined for at least the next few weeks.

This latest setback comes just days after PSG lost their opening Champions League group stage fixture to Atletico Madrid, leaving them with a tough task ahead if they want to make it through to the knockout stages.

With Neymar now out for at least three matches, it could be a difficult period for PSG, who will need to rely on other players to step up and fill the void left by the star striker.

However, despite the setback, PSG remain hopeful of making a strong challenge for the league title this season, with coach Thomas Tuchel confident that his team can turn things around and secure a successful campaign.
